This is an important Geoffrey Beene vintage outfit from his Fall 1989 collection. It includes a long dress and a bolero style jacket with tassels hanging from points in the back.

The dress has a solid black knit bodice with long sleeves with hook and eye & zipper closures, a scoop neck and a slight high low hem. The skirt of the dress is in a black and silver/gray small floral print taffeta and it has a great extra wide waistband area.

The solid black jacket is bolero style with unique tassels at the end of each back corner. and unique asymmetrical sleeve detail at the cuff. The dress closes with a black metal zipper and hook-and-eye closure down center back seam. Black Geoffrey Beene New York label. Fall Winter 1989.

In excellent condition overall with a small worn area (size of a quarter) near back hem as shown in photo.

Estimated size: 4 but the bust is smaller in proportion than the waist so please use the measurements as a guide for the best fit!
